§ Mr. Wattasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (1) if he will give priority in allocating grants and loans for new fishing boats to suitably qualified young men who are seeking to purchase their first boat;
(2) if he is now in a position to state the criteria that will apply to applicants for grants and loans for new fishing boars.
§ Mr. BishopUnder the Fishing Vessels (Acquisition and Improvement) (Grants) Scheme 1967, made by my right hon. Friends the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Secretary of State for Scotland, the parallel arrangements approved for loans, decisions on individual applications are for the White Fish Authority or Herring Industry Board.
