HC Deb 29 July 1974 vol 878 cc96-7W
Mr. Russell Johnston

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will list in the OFFICIAL REPORT those local authorities which provide a consumer protection bureau.

Mr. Alan Williams

I have been asked to reply.

According to the latest information available to me, Scottish local authorities which have established consumer advice centres are Paisley, Greenock and Lanark (East Kilbride). Consumer advice is also available from many other local authority offices and from citizens' advice bureaux, which are financially supported by local authorities to varying extents.
