§ Mr. Russell Johnstonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will list in the OFFICIAL REPORT those local 97W authorities which provide a consumer protection bureau.
Mr. Alan WilliamsI have been asked to reply.
According to the latest information available to me, Scottish local authorities which have established consumer advice centres are Paisley, Greenock and Lanark (East Kilbride). Consumer advice is also available from many other local authority offices and from citizens' advice bureaux, which are financially supported by local authorities to varying extents.
