§ Mr. Waddingtonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he has received the outline plan for the Central Lancashire New Town; if a public inquiry has been arranged; and if, pending receipt of the inspector's report, he is able to comment on any of the proposals in the plan.
§ Mr. OakesThe Central Lancashire New Town outline plan was received by my right hon. Friend on 4th June 1974 and a public inquiry had been arranged to begin on 17th September. However,584W after taking into account the views expressed during the debate on the Adjournment of 4th July, I have decided to defer the start of the public inquiry until 5th November. I cannot anticipate my right hon. Friend's decision on the plan by commenting on any of its proposals.
