asked the Secretary of State for Energy whether he expects to be ready to introduce the legislation for the North Sea in 1974 or 1975.

Mr. Strang

It is the Government's intention to introduce the legislation necessary to implement the recently-announced proposals for offshore oil and gas as soon as possible, although I cannot say at this stage whether this will be late this year or early in 1975.
