HC Deb 24 July 1974 vol 877 cc480-1W
Mr. Loveridge

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what representations he has received from the British Woodwork Manufacturers' Association concerning the present outlook for manufacturers producing timber-based products for the building industry; and what reply he has sent.

Mr. Freeson

The British Woodwork Manufacturers' Association wrote to me on 25th June. I have described to the association in my reply the wide range of measures which the Government have already taken to encourage more house building and assist improvement and conversion work. I am arranging for a copy of my letter to be sent to the hon. Gentleman.
