§ Mr. Newtonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he can say, from international sources available to him, which overseas countries have (a) a wealth tax and (b) a gifts or accessions tax; at what levels and at what rates they are charged; and in each case what is the top marginal rate of investment and earned income respectively, and at what level of income they are charged.
