§ Mr. Kinnockasked the Lord President of the Council if he will make a statement on the work currently being done for Government Departments by the research group known as the Institute for Fiscal Studies; and if he will visit the Departments involved.
§ Mr. Edward Short,pursuant to his reply [OFFICIAL REPORT, 15th July, 1974] supplied the following information:
The Government have placed no research commission with the Institute for 453W Fiscal Studies but the Department of the Environment has had discussions with the institute on a possible collaborative research commission.
