42. Mr. loan Evansasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what proposals he will be making at the United Nations Food Conference in Rome.
§ Mr. PeartI would refer my hon. Friend to the statement concerning the policy that the United Kingdom will pursue at this conference which I made in reply to a Question by my hon. Friend the Member for South Ayrshire (Mr. Sillars) on 2nd April. The United Kingdom is taking part in the conference's preparatory committee, the third and last meeting of which will take place in Rome from 23rd September to 4th October. Proposals for consideration by the conference will be developed at that meeting and at the conference itself.
