§ Mr. George Rodgersasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if she will examine the possibilities of making a chiropody service available to deprived members of the community through the agency of the health service.
§ Dr. OwenChiropody services have been provided under the National Health Service for many years, previously by local health authorities and since April 1974 by area health authorities. Mainly because of shortage of qualified staff, they are restricted to certain priority groups, viz. the elderly, the physically handicapped, expectant mothers and schoolchildren.
