Mr. Wigley

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what are the reference numbers of the oil exploration blocks off the coast of Wales, and therefore falling within the terms of reference of the Welsh Advisory Oil Committee, which have already had issued a licence for their exploration; and in which of these drilling has commenced.

Petroleum production licences have been issued in respect of the following blocks within Cardigan Bay, the Bristol Channel, and the United Kingdom sectors of the Celtic Sea and the Irish Sea.
