Mr. Trotter

asked the Secretary of State for Industry what were the estimated total costs for the Concorde project (a) at its commencement, (b) in 1964, (c) in 1970, (d) at 31st December 1973, together with adjusted figures in the first three cases in order to provide a real comparison with the figures at 31st December 1973.

Not all of the information is available in precisely the form requested; but the following details enable a comparison to be made between the estimates given at various points in the programme.
