§ Mr. Staintonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will set up a working party embracing the prisoners department and the prison officers association with wide terms of reference to review the extension of home ownership amongst prison officers and 220W also the housing difficulties arising on the retirement of these mobile public servants.
§ Dr. SummerskillPolicy regarding the provision of quarters for prison officers is already being considered through the normal consultative machinery but we shall bear the hon. Member's suggestion in mind at a later stage.
