§ 31. Mr. Patrick McNair-Wilsonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will introduce legislation to ensure the compulsory labelling of vehicles carrying dangerous chemicals or toxic products of any type, together with details of action to be taken in case of spillage.
§ Dr. SummerskillRegulations have already been made requiring the labelling of vehicles conveying inflammable and corrosive substances and organic peroxides, and further regulations are being prepared which will require the carriage on these vehicles of details of the action to be taken in the event of spillage, fire or personal accident. Similar controls for other classes of dangerous substances will follow as soon as possible.
