HC Deb 18 July 1974 vol 877 cc240-1W
Mr. Eldon Griffiths

asked the Prime Minister if, in view of the British Lions' sporting achievements, he will follow the precedent of previous Prime Ministers, including himself, and invite them on their return to a reception at No. 10 Downing Street to mark the success of the tour.

The Prime Minister

The hon. Member is mistaken. I did not entertain the British Lions following their tour of South Africa in 1968 and I have no plans to do so now.
