asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what has been the total cost to public funds of maintenance work to Scrabo Tower, Newtownards, in each year since it came into the possession and care of the Government.

Mr. Moyle

There has been no expenditure other than on very minor maintenance and on securing the main door of the tower against vandals since it was acquired in 1972.
