asked the Secretary of State for Trade what was the United kingdom Trade deficit, seasonally adjusted,

at an annual rate, in the latest period of three months for which figures are available and for the immediately preceding period of three months respectively.

Mr. Deakins

The visible trade deficit, seasonally adjusted and expressed as an annual rate, was £5,468 million in the second quarter of this year and £5,192 million in the first quarter.
