HC Deb 15 July 1974 vol 877 c60W
Mr. D. E. Thomas

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many houses in Wales are without a fixed bath; what is the proportion of houses lacking this amenity as a percentage of all houses in Wales; and whether he will express this proportion as a percentage of the average proportion for Great Britain.

Mr. John Morris

The results of the 1971 census show that the number of households in Wales without a fixed bath or shower was 116,685. The proportion of houses lacking this amenity was 13 per cent. of all households in Wales. The corresponding proportion for Great Britain was 9.1 per cent.
