Friend the Member for Fife, Central (Mr. Hamilton) and others on 24th June, I am conscious of the need to make an announcement as soon as possible. In order to achieve a distribution of Civil Service jobs in the areas of greatest need we have had to review the Hardman proposals. This is naturally taking some time, not least because of the large number of competing claims we have to consider.
