HC Deb 15 July 1974 vol 877 cc55-6W
Mr. Molloy

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) if she can make a statement concerning comments submitted to her by the joint committee for the disabled regarding those sections of the Sharp Report which envisage action by her Department;

(2) what communications have been received from the joint committee on mobility for the disabled concerning her policy towards mobilising the disabled; and what replies she sent.

Mr. Alfred Morris

I have received a most useful submission from the joint committee containing its comments about Lady Sharp's report on the mobility of physically disabled people. The joint committee is aware that the Government are considering the report in the light of the comments from all interested organisations. I shall be making a statement as soon as possible.
