§ Mr. PrenticeThis information is not regularly reported to my Department. In the survey of violence and indiscipline in primary and secondary schools which 587W was conducted last year by the Association of Education Committees on behalf of my Department, the 100 local education authorities which responded to the questionnaire reported a total of 457 incidents of pupil to teacher violence and and 212 of threatened pupil to teacher violence during the school year 1971–72.
