§ Mr. Pymasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will increase the remuneration of United Kingdom sugar beet growers in 1975 so that the acreage quota will be fully taken up, to ensure an adequate supply for the consumers; and when he expects to announce his decision on this matter.
§ Mr. BuchanI cannot at this stage add to what my right hon. Friend said in his reply to the right hon. Member on 4th July except to say that we fully recognise the need to offer adequate incentives to growers of home-grown beet, and we shall announce the results of our consideration as soon as possible.
