§ Mr. Joel BarnettThe heads of institutions in the European Economic Community which specialise in long-term credit met on 10th June 1974 to consider what steps could be taken to strengthen further the co-operation between them which they had begun in 1973. I understand that usual progress was made. The Government welcome the participation of the British partner, Finance for Industry, in this venture, which should tend to increase productive investment in this country and opportunities for British firms abroad.
