HC Deb 11 July 1974 vol 876 cc540-1W
Mr. Wm. Ross

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what are his plans for concessionary bus fares for the elderly in Northern Ireland in view of the situation there vis-à-vis the rest of the United Kingdom.

Mr. Moyle

There are some substantial concessions on bus fares for the elderly in Northern Ireland. They are at the discretion of the bus companies. The Northern Ireland Department of the Environment is examining the question of concessionary fares together with interested parties including the transport undertakings.
