§ 29. Mr. Corrieasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will agree to hold a meeting with the new members of the Strathclyde Region to discuss the operation of the new regional arrangements.
§ Mr. MillanI should be pleased to meet Strathclyde Regional Council if it should ask for a meeting; but the operation of the council is a matter for the council itself except that, under statute, my right hon. Friend has to approve details of the arrangements for the discharge of its education and social work functions.
