§ Mr. John Mooreasked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many sheltered housing dwellings there were at the latest convenient count.
§ Mr. KaufmanStatistics on the number of existing dwellings specially designed for old people are not available. However, in the last five years tenders have been accepted by local authorities in 481W England and Wales for 116,000 dwellings of this type. This includes some 38,000 units which will have the service of a warden. Housing associations also make a significant contribution in this field.
