§ Mr. Brittanasked the Attorney-General whether he proposes to take steps to increase the sums payable to jurors under the Jurors Allowance (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 1973 in the light of the inflation that has taken place since the regulations came into force.
The Attorney-GeneralThe rates of the travelling allowance were increased on 20th May this year by the Jurors' Allowances (Amendment) Regulations 1974. These rates and the financial loss allowance payable under the principal regulations—the Jurors' Allowance Regulations 1972, as amended—are at present under review.
