Mr. Campbell

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the number of MOT certificates issued at the one testing station at Garelochhead, Dunbartonshire, in the last six month period where statistics are available.

Mr. Carmichael

365 test certificates were issued by the testing station at Garelochhead during the period from January to June 1974.

Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the MOT testing stations serving South Ayrshire.

There are 20 testing stations serving South Ayrshire and these are listed below:

  • 2 at Auchinleck.
  • 1 at Maidens.
  • 1 at Patna.
  • 2 at Maybole.
  • 1 at Dailly.
  • 4 at Cumnock.
  • 2 at New Cumnock.
  • 1 at Dalrymple.
  • 4 at Girvan.
  • 1 at Barr.
  • 1 at Pinwherry.

I shall write to my hon. Friend later with the names and addresses of the stations.
