Mr. Faulds

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he will now publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT the statistics relating to charging for admission at the national museums and galleries, including comparative attendances for January, February and March of 1973 and 1974, numbers of day tickets sold, receipts from charging, and costs of collection, as supplied by letter of 14th May 1974 to the hon. Member for Warley, East, but adding thereto the breakdown figures of the costs of machines, etc., in England, and taking account of appropriate deductions of refunded receipts from the sale of season tickets and gift vouchers.

The information requested is given in the following table which incorporates some minor adjustments which revision of the figures since 14th May have shown to be necessary:
