§ Mr. Whiteheadasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if she will undertake a survey of the availability of servicing facilities for invalid vehicles, both petrol and electric-driven, so that all major population centres are covered.
§ Mr. Alfred MorrisThere are arrangements for the comprehensive repair and servicing of these vehicles at over 100 approved repairers. Minor repairs can be undertaken by any competent garage. Although the main firms are strategically sited throughout the country it is not practicable to have one in every large town. Arrangements are kept under review continuously and the services of additional specialist repairers are sought as necessary.
