Mr. Barry Henderson

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he is satisfied with existing legislation regarding concentrated recycled animal protein, that the processes employed cause no health hazard and that there is adequate inspection and monitoring of such processes.

My Department is currently considering whether any additional legislation is needed to reduce the risk of disease from animal protein feeding stuffs, including concentrated recycled animal protein.
