HC Deb 08 July 1974 vol 876 c375W
Mr. Cryer

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he is satisfied as to the application of the Land Compensation Act 1973 and especially with regard to that section which allows a local authority to give additional compensation where houses have been purchased by negotiation without resort to a compulsory purchase order.

Mr. John Silkin

I am not aware of any general difficulty over the working of the Act in this respect but if my hon. Friend has any evidence of it I will gladly consider it.
