§ Mr. Denis HowellThe Report of the Working Party on Awkward Household Wastes has been published today and copies of the report are being sent to local authorities in England and Wales. I commend the report to elected members and officials in local government and to individual householders alike, and I hope that local authorities will take whatever opportunities they can to draw the attention of members of the public to the advice it contains. I regard the report as a further useful step in the direction of making the people of this country more aware of the need to take greater care in the disposal of waste materials and, in doing so, reduce pollution and protect our environment.
