§ 61. Mr. David Priceasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will conduct a cost-benefit analysis of the economic effects of the United Kingdom withdrawing from the European Economic Community and publish a summary of the conclusions.

Under a four-year programme to improve cultural contacts between the United Kingdom and West European countries announced on 6th March 1972, grants totalling £296,000 have been made to 31st March 1974 to a number of nongovernmental organisations involved in visits and exchanges with European countries both inside and outside the European Communities.—[Vol. 832, c. 222–4.]
