Mr. Nott

asked the Secretary of State for Trade (1) if he will give his estimate of the average annual percentage rate of growth of the tourist industry in Cornwall, the United Kingdom. Europe and the United States of America over the last five years;

(2) how many visitors are believed to have visited Cornwall in the months of December, May, July, August and September in each of the last five years;

(3) what is his estimate of the local expenditure on holiday of a family with two children which spends a one week holiday in Cornwall in a tent, caravan, bed and breakfast establishment, boarding house with evening meal and full board at a hotel;

(4) what is his estimate of the number of tourists visiting St. Ives and Penzance in August in each of the last five years.
