HC Deb 02 July 1974 vol 876 c78W
Mr. Winterton

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if she will recognise the position by way of financial remuneration of clinical nurse teachers necessarily acting up as tutors in hospital training schools.

Dr. Owen

The agreements negotiated by the Nurses and Midwives Whitley Council provide that nurses acting as tutors, but who are not registered tutors, receive the same rate of pay as clinical teachers. The question of payment for acting up does not therefore arise in these circumstances.
