HC Deb 01 July 1974 vol 876 c51W
Mr. Watt

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when he will make public the findings of the traffic census taken at the Isla Bridge near Rothiemay in Banffshire; and if he will indicate the connection of the census to the extensive drilling operations being carried out in the surrounding district.

Mr. William Ross

Isla Bridge is one of 200 traffic census points throughout Great Britain, the information from which is used in assessing general trends in traffic flows. I do not consider that any useful purpose would be served by publishing the information collected at one particular census point. The census has no connection with drilling operations in the vicinity of Isla Bridge.
