Mr Cormack

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how much assistance has been provided from the Exchequer to each of the nationalised industries since their respective vesting dates.

pursuant to his reply [OFFICIAL REPORT, 27th June; Vol. 875, c. 508], gave the following information:

Government grants and subsidies to each of the nationalised industries in the period 1945–46 to 1973–74 are listed below. The figures exclude grants of a kind which are also available to private industry; and they exclude capital write-offs.
