§ Mr. Rathboneasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will give a detailed timetable for the announcement of a decision regarding the start of work on the Lewes bypass and a decision on plans for the relief of South Street and the start of work on such a relief system.
§ Mr. CarmichaelSubject to satisfactory completion of the statutory procedures and the availability of funds construction of Lewes bypass is forecast to start in the summer of 1975. Various 69W schemes for South Street are being evaluated, including a possible tunnel solution, and an announcement will be made as soon as possible.
