HC Deb 31 January 1974 vol 868 cc157-8W
Mr. Charles R. Morris

asked the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications whether he will make a statement indicating how many telephones have now been installed under the provisions of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970 with the voluntary help of members of the Post Office engineering staff; and whether any estimate has been made of the amount of additional earnings which PO engineers have forgone in this regard.

Sir J. Eden

This is a matter for the Post Office, which tells me that 1,067 telephones were installed up to 31st March 1973; the number for the year ending 31st March 1974 is not yet available.

The answer to the second part of the Question is "No".
