HC Deb 31 January 1974 vol 868 c143W
Mr. Money

asked the Secretary of State for Defence whether he will make a statement regarding redundancies likely to be caused by the proposed rundown of RAF Bawdsey.

Mr. Younger

There are 90 civilians employed at RAF Bawdsey and, although it is not possible at present to give precise numbers, it is expected that most of them will become redundant in their present posts in mid-1974 when the master radar station there ceases operations. Every effort will be made in conjunction with the Department of Employment to find other work for those whose services have to be terminated.
