HL Deb 31 January 1974 vol 349 c548WA
LORD MERTHYR

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they are satisfied that the long-distance route, established round the coast of Pembrokeshire under the National Parks Act 1949, which was Officially declared open in 1970, is now throughout its length in a reasonably satisfactory condition for use by pedestrians: in particular, that part of the route which lies in the parish of Angle: and, if not, whether they will take the necessary steps to urge the local authorities concerned to carry out their duties.

LORD ABERDARE

Apart from a 4-mile sector in the parish of Angle, the long-distance route is in a satisfactory condition for use by pedestrians. The responsible local authority has met with difficulties in gaining access to carry out the necessary work on this sector and Her Majesty's Government will continue to urge and assist the authority to complete the task.
