HC Deb 31 January 1974 vol 868 c165W
Mr. Roderick

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will set up an inquiry into the supply of equipment to disabled people in Wales so as to devise the best system of display and distribution and to consider whether it is more advantageous to display samples in various centres, or in mobile display units, so that a disabled person may receive the most suitable equipment for his or her needs.

Mr. Peter Thomas

No. The establishment of demonstration centres needs to be considered as part of the general review of improving the means of dissemination of information about aids and equipment for the disabled. This is already under consideration by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Social Services and myself.
