JosephAny decision on the carrying out of a study of this kind must depend upon the views of the joint working party recently set up by the Medical Research Council to consider research related to problems arising from the social, educational and rehabilitation needs of the deaf. I am arranging to pass on the hon. Member's suggestion to the working party on which Health Departments and the Socal Science Research Council are represented.
