§ Mr. Deakinsasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what were the receipts from capital gains tax in 1969–70 and in 1971–72, and for the latest available period.
§ Mr. NottNet receipts of capital gains tax in 1969–70 and in 1971–72 were £128 million and £155 million respectively. The corresponding figures for corporation tax on gains of companies, for years ending on 31st October, were about £100 million and £65 million.
Net receipts of capital gains tax for the period 1st April to 30th November 1973 were £195 million.
