Mr. Ted Fletcherasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will publish a list of redundancies in the Northern Region that have been notified to his Department in each month from 1st January 1973 to the latest available date.
§ Mr. Chichester-ClarkInformation supplied to my Department by individual 59W employers on redundancies is often given in confidence and my right hon. Friend would not feel justified in publishing a list. However, our records show that the following numbers of workpeople were involved in redundancies recorded as due to occur in the Northern Region in each month last year:
