§ Mr. Russell Johnstonasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he can make any estimate of the number of jobs created in oil-related industry, county by county, in Scotland; and whether he can project these figures on a regional basis to 1976, 1978 and 1980.
§ Mr. Chichester-ClarkI regret that information is not available on the basis requested by the hon. Member. However, the following table gives estimates of the numbers of workers employed at 31st December 1973 in oil-related industries in six areas of Scotland. It does not include additional jobs created in the construction industry or all those in firms supplying goods or services to the oil industry. The second column gives estimates of the jobs likely to be created as a result of firm projects already announced.
