§ Mr. Rostasked the Minister for Energy if he will give a general direction to the CEGB to improve the thermal efficiency at present obtained out of the conversion of fuel into useful energy from existing power stations by utilising waste heat for domestic and industrial purposes.
§ Mr. EmeryThe CEGB already has the relevant statutory duties under Section 50 of the Electricity Act 1947, as amended by the Electricity Act 1957 and under Section 2(5) of the latter Act to develop and maintain an efficient, co-ordinated and economic supply of electricity.
