asked the Minister for Energy whether he will take action to ensure that the elderly and infirm are encouraged to heat their bedrooms as well as their living rooms during the current crisis ; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Emery

The elderly and the infirm should not deprive themselves of heating or lighting which is essential. But I am sure that they, in common with every other householder, will continue to save as much electricity as is reasonably possible.
