§ Mr. Gordon CampbellSubject to approval by the Pay Board, I have it in mind to prescribe the maximum rate of attendance allowance at £10 for a period of 24 hours. This allowance, which is taxable, will replace the present financial loss allowance of £5.50 per day, and may be claimed as of right by all councillors. In addition, travelling and subsistence allowances will be payable as at present. I shall be making the necessary regulations in due course.
