In 1972 home deliveries of potash in terms of K2O were 444 thousand metric tons, all imported. Information relating to the consumption of phosphate rock is not available. In 1972 1,665 thousand metric tons was imported. The other information is not readily available.

I do not normally announce investigations made into private companies because there is only limited interest in such inquiries. Inquiries are proceeding under Section 109 of the Companies Act 1967 into 43 private companies. It is not the practice to give information about these, in order to avoid possible damage to the companies concerned.
